The everydrop by Whirlpool Ice & Water Refrigerator Filter 4, EDR4RXD1, is certified to reduce 31 contaminants, including lead and the chlorine that affects taste and odor. It is certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53 and 401 for specific contaminant reduction.
Filter 4 is the green filter and the replacement for UKF8001. It twists into place without tools, so changing it every six months takes only a few minutes.

Find the filterOpen the filter cover inside the refrigerator, usually near the top of the fresh food section.

Remove the old filterTurn it counterclockwise and pull it straight down or out. No tools are needed.

Insert the new EDR4RXD1Remove the protective cap, push the new filter into the housing and turn it clockwise until it locks.
