The everydrop by Whirlpool Ice & Water Refrigerator Filter 3, EDR3RXD1, is certified to reduce 73 contaminants, including lead, pesticides, pharmaceuticals and microplastics. It is certified by NSF International to NSF/ANSI Standards 42, 53 and 401 for specific contaminant reduction.
Filter 3 is the aqua filter. It pushes into place without tools, so changing it every six months takes only a few minutes and keeps your water and ice tasting fresh.

How to Replace Your Filter 3

Find the filterLook behind the base grille at the bottom front of the refrigerator, on the left side.

Remove the old filterPress the eject button and pull the old filter straight out. Keep the cap from the old filter. No tools are needed.

Insert the new EDR3RXD1Remove the protective coverings from the O-rings, twist the cap onto the new filter until it locks, then push the filter in until the eject button pops back out.

Flush and resetDispense water for several minutes to clear air from the line, then reset the filter indicator light if your model has one.
A little cloudiness or sputtering right after installing is trapped air and clears as you flush the filter.
